At Southeast Ohio Youth Mentoring (SEOYM), our mission is to provide children facing adversity with strong and enduring, professionally-supported, one-to-one relationships that change their lives for the better, forever.

Who We Are
Founded in 1986 as a chapter of Big Brothers Big Sisters, SEOYM has spent decades helping youth grow through the power of mentorship.
Due to funding constraints, we formally disaffiliated from Big Brothers Big Sisters in 2018. Since then, we’ve continued to grow as an independent nonprofit agency—still guided by the same core values and commitment to empowering youth through meaningful relationships.
Our work is deeply rooted in community collaboration. By partnering with parents, guardians, volunteers, and local organizations, we strive to ensure every child in our programs achieves:
