At Southeast Ohio Youth Mentoring (SEOYM), mentors have the opportunity to be that person in a young person’s life. As a mentor, you’ll create meaningful connections through shared activities, laughter, learning, and new experiences. These relationships have the power to positively impact the lives of both mentees and mentors.
Becoming a mentor means joining a supportive community that believes in the power of showing up, being present, and making a difference. To help ensure strong, successful matches, all mentors are held to certain expectations to meet our requirements. Become a Mentor for CLI;MB
Do you want to make a difference while learning, growing, and having fun alongside a local youth?
Join our CLI:MB program as a mentor and help empower young people through a unique blend of climbing and life skills. CLI:MB is a group-based, one-to-one mentoring program where adults (18+) are matched with students entering grades 7–11. Together, you’ll build confidence, strengthen resilience, and encourage positive self-perception at Blockhouse Bouldering Gym. No prior climbing experience is needed—just a willingness to show up, learn, and support your mentee through each session. |

Volunteer for our Before & After School Program
Whether you're looking to fulfill class hours or simply enjoy working with kids, we have spots available for enthusiastic and committed volunteers in our Before and After School Program at East Elementary. Our program offers a safe, inclusive, and fun environment where children can play, learn, and grow.
Volunteers have the opportunity to build meaningful connections with students through activities like gym time, outdoor play, art, homework help, and mentorship. As a volunteer, you'll be a positive role model, gain valuable experience, and make a lasting impact on the lives of children in our community. |

Looking to lend a hand to our team without being directly involved in one of our programs? We're always grateful for volunteers who can support behind the scenes! Whether it’s helping in the office, assisting with events, prepping lessons, or contributing to our social media efforts, your time makes a big impact. Volunteers are welcome to join in during our office hours at our Athens location (449 East State St.).
